Overview of Streaming Solutions and Workflows

Modified on Mon, 05 Jun 2023 at 01:50 PM

The Sardius Control Panel is able to accommodate multiple streaming methods and workflows. Our services can support a variety of applications and outputs based upon an organization’s streaming practices.

What’s most incredible about these options is that you are not limited to one particular service. Many clients utilize a combination of at least two of these services, such as Sardius Stream and Sardius SimLive.

Our Current Services Include:

  • Sardius Stream
Ideal for clients using RTMPs or SRT as their source protocol. Sardius Stream transcodes your source, and outputs HLS to a Sardius Channel, and also outputs RTMP and SRT for social media channels.

  • Sardius HLS Entrypoint
Ideal for clients using HLS as their source protocol. Sardius HLS Entrypoint allows for HLS output to a Sardius Channel, and also most web and mobile apps.

  • Linked Asset (External Stream)
Ideal for clients sending HLS to an external CDN such as Akamai. Linked Asset (External Stream) allows for HLS output through this robust CDN to a Sardius Channel, and also most web and mobile apps.

  • Sardius SimLive
Ideal for clients who wish to serve pre-recorded content to users as if it were broadcast live. Sardius SimLive utilizes already streamed events that were recorded, or can play pre-recorded content that was uploaded by you to Sardius.

Should you wish to enable any of the above services on your account, please reach out to your account manager.

Social Media Streaming and Other Outlets

The Sardius Control Panel is able to output your stream to select Social Media Channels and select other outlets. We currently support:
  • Facebook*
  • YouTube*
  • Subsplash for websites, mobile phone apps, and OTT apps such as Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire Stick
  • Integrations with platforms like RockRMS and app development software
*Social Media Streaming is currently only supported by Sardius Stream with our Advanced SimLive service. To have this feature activated on your account, please reach out to your account manager.
